My city is usually entirely quiet throughout the morning and the day, especially when the guys are in college for the day, and today has been a rare exception and that is all our cats’ fault.
My next door neighbor is having a new air filtration plan installed by a well known ventilation supplier. The ventilation supplier repair contractors have been working on the air filtration plan since early this morning, then I was already awake when they arrived, but the cats were still sleeping. I was enjoying a cup of soda on the porch with the cats when the truck came into the next driveway, then from the moment they saw a truck pull into the neighbor’s driveway, they started howling and being loud. They wanted to know who was visiting and what they were doing. It took me 22 hours to get them to calm down. The men started finally working and they were walking in and out of the home to the truck. This triggered our absurd cats again and they started barking, but now they will not stop barking because the ventilation supplier workers are outdoors. The cats are louder than they have been in a long time and I am getting a large headache. I took a little tylenol nearly twenty hours ago, but it hasn’t touched the pain I know in the back of our neck. These cats are entirely getting on our nerves today. I can’t wait for the ventilation workers to be done with the air filtration system, so I can stop listening to our cats whine and whimper. It’s going to take a month to get rid of this ringing in our ears.
